About Me
I’m Anjali - an artist, wife, mom, and firm believer in possibilities.
My Passion ❤️🔥
My passion and joy reside within me,
Awakening each morning with purpose.
Even in moments of fleeting doubt,
I rediscover that my true happiness lies within.
I share smiles and positivity with all I meet,
Embracing the bliss of connecting through art.
Each stroke on canvas reflects my belief
In pouring out compassion for those in need.
From the chirping of birds to the rising sun,
I find inspiration in life’s simple wonders.
As an artist, I capture these moments,
Infusing love, innocence, and strength onto paper.
Art is eternal, a testament to my belief:
My passion and joy will forever reside within me.

My Artistic Journey
My artistic journey began in childhood, inspired by a friend’s artwork, which led me to create my first oil painting on my own. This moment set me on a path of continuous exploration, supported by my father’s encouragement.
Initially I began with detailed oil paintings, where I explored intricate forms and textures. Soon after, I developed a love for charcoal, appreciating its bold and expressive qualities. Currently, I am immersed in acrylics, experimenting to introduce a new fluidity and energy into my work, with a particular focus on capturing the vibrant beauty of florals. Each piece I create is infused with purpose, aiming to evoke deep meaning and emotion. The vibrancy and unique energy of my paintings set them apart.
Education, Experience, and Professional Growth
I am a Commercial Artist from India with a strong foundation in various artistic techniques. My work has been showcased in notable exhibitions, including the Tennessee Museum and the Golden Art Museum NC. These experiences have enriched my artistic journey. After moving to the U.S. in 1997, I expanded my qualifications by becoming a preschool teacher and studying child development at De Anza College, which deepened my passion for shaping young minds.
In 2005, I realized a lifelong dream by founding Discovery Art Studio in North Carolina, a space for creativity and learning. During the COVID pandemic, I successfully transitioned to online art classes, utilizing my concept-based teaching skills to reach a broader audience
Art as
Meditation
Amid the chaos of everyday life, we all need something to calm us and keep us grounded. For me, that one thing is art. My love and practice of art serve as a form of meditation, keeping me centred and bringing indescribable joy. The greatest joy lies in connecting with the outside world and letting my emotions flow through my creations. This connection and emotional expression are what makes art truly fulfilling for me.

Beyond Art: Family and Balance
As an artist and teacher, I'm also a mom and wife. With a nurse daughter, a clinician and social worker daughter, and an IT husband, life is always bustling.
Entering my art space provides the perfect balance and an essential outlet for all the busyness.
